Caring for People

Economists1,2 that I listened to have correctly stated that tariffs will not solve this nation’s manufacturing problems. There is money among or in the wealthy, but nowhere else is there sufficient wealth to create manufacturing. Tariffs will not create any manufacturing because to the wealthy manufacturing is nothing more than a difficult and slow means of accumulating more wealth for themselves. This attitude is typified by the investor to whom everyone else is a means of accumulating wealth and to be avoided if not generating a profit; it is also typified by the families who in wanting the best for their spouse or offspring, view all others as sources of knowledge, know-how, information, example or service useful only while providing those functions and unnecessary to be cared for thereafter either economically or socially. I do not believe it is unreasonable for a child less than 18 years old to view everyone else as there to help them until they know enough and become confident enough to be certain that they can be helpful to someone else. Nor do I believe it is unreasonable for an elderly person to view someone as there to help them when they can no longer help themselves. Deductively, times must exist when the wealthy or the families do need to view others as present to help them or present only to help them. In the common vernacular, The potential problem is the attitude that everyone else is an input to be used and thrown away and that an input is not a human being so No Problem!
